Recovery Basics by Australian Red Cross
This year has seen a huge number of people who have been pulled into disaster recovery work for the first time. If the events over the last few weeks are any indication, this trend will continue for the next few months.
If you’re new to working in disaster recovery, the time to take in new information is so, so short and most people find themselves having to learn on the run. Anyone who has been in that role knows the intensity of trying to cram huge amounts of information in while having a to-do list as long as your arm.
Earlier this year, Australian Red Cross released three new (short but packed) resources that are going to be go to guides for people who find themselves in this situation, or for anyone looking for a concise way to brush up on basic recovery information.
The information packed into these resources is solid and easily digestible and points you to lots of places you can get more information. If you’re trying to learn on the go or you have a feeling that you’re going to need to be across a breadth of recovery content very quickly, this is for you.
